The Xpats Insider celebrated outstanding and remarkable individuals through the #WeHEIS Awards. #WeHEIS stands for We Honour Exceptional & Inspiring Succeeders, which aims to be the leading media platform to spread positivity and inspiration worldwide. The Xpats Insider held the pioneer #WeHEIS Awards 2021 on July 17th, 2021, at Hyatt Regency Dubai. Along with this, the very first issue of The Xpats Insider magazine featuring His Excellency Suhail Muhammad Al Zarooni on the cover was distributed to various high-profile individuals, ambassadors, and other networks.

H.E. Suhail Muhammad Al Zarooni is the son of Mohammad Abdul Karim Al Zarooni and the first-ever Emirati after the Royal family of the United Arab Emirates to be awarded a Guinness World Record Holder’s Certificate. Aside from this, he is also an author and the current Al Zarooni Foundation chairman. He serves as a brand ambassador of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Ambassador-at-Large of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) UAE. Along with the many hats he wears, he is also a successful businessman, philanthropist, and collector. He owns a private museum showcasing his collection ranging from coins and banknotes to British Royal Family dolls and figurines.

Throughout his life, H.E. Suhail Muhammad Al Zarooni has helped numerous people since 1990 and has fought for the rights of the marginalized around the world. He built Masjids and renewed most of the Masjids that are 100 years old. His foundation is known to help Muslims and people of other religions. He is the first person who built Robot Jockeys for the Camel Races in 2003 to protect children. In 2005, he introduced “Boundaries Never Bind,” a peace campaign focusing on India and Pakistan. He considers both countries close to his heart. In 2007, he started a “think green” campaign to promote environmental awareness. With all of this, he is true, the rightful and suitable person to represent and be on the cover of the pioneering issue of The Xpats Insider magazine.

The Xpats Insider was founded in July 2018 by two young and dynamic content creators based in Dubai, UAE, who work collaboratively to publish real-life stories of outstanding individuals. It offers them a forum to share their journey towards success through different media platforms. Romeo Reataza Jr. and Noel Rebu Sy, both inspiring people, were from the Philippines before becoming immigrants in the UAE. Noel is an educator and a cancer survivor who lost his mother at a very young age. With an innate passion for being a storyteller, he now serves as the head of The Xpats Insider to inspire others who fight the same battle. “I want to make an impact. My purpose is to raise awareness, not only to people living with cancer but also to their families and friends. Coping up requires a strong support system that’s why I am here to share my story.”, he said.

On the other hand, Romeo is a survivor of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), one of the most powerful tropical cyclones ever recorded globally, which devastated areas of the Philippines, mainly Romeo’s province Leyte. His harsh childhood, losing his father at two, and being separated from his mother trained him to be independent and self-reliant. Because of this, he became a jack-of-all-trades which brought him to UAE. “Being a part of The Xpats Insider is so close to my heart, and I vow to do the best that I can to touch people’s lives and to showcase what our countrymen have to offer.”

The #WeHEIS Awards celebrate various individuals who excel and inspire in multiple fields such as leadership, business, diplomacy, and humanitarian service to put them in the spotlight and eventually encourage other individuals to promote positive changes in their respective spheres of influence.
